Dr. Leonard Trahan is a board-certified anesthesiologist working with patients in the Pain Doctor Kingwood pain clinic. He brings over 19 years of medical experience and thought leadership to his work in pain management.
Dr. Leonard Trahan – Education and experience
Dr. Trahan began his education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas before earning his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After completing both an internship and residency in the department of anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Trahan went on to become the medical director of the pain division of North Houston Anesthesiology. He is a co-founder and partner of the North Houston Pain Center.
As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Leonard Trahan has worn many hats. Starting as the director and chief of anesthesia at Northeast Medical Center in Humble, Texas, Dr. Trahan then became a partner and part of the active staff of North Houston Anesthesiology. He then moved to the Conroe division of North Houston Anesthesiology to become a partner and part of the active staff, providing anesthesia coverage for cardiovascular, obstetrical, neurosurgical, pediatric, and general surgeries. In 2012, Dr. Trahan became the medical director of the Woodlands Ambulatory Surgical Center before joining Pain Doctor at our Kingwood pain clinic.

Dr. Trahan served in the United States Navy with an honorable discharge and continues to bring that spirit of service to his work with Pain Doctor. Dr. Leonard Trahan is active in the community and professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Pain Management, the Texas Medical Association, the International Society of Interventional Spine, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is a diplomate with both the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
