I don’t know about you, but in this economy, I barely have enough money for groceries, let alone a gym membership. Working out gets lost in the mix of everyday life.
Yesterday I was thinking about how I could get back into shape with some cheap workouts. I, of course, went and Googled it! The results were creative and cool.

Every Day Tasks Turn into Training

Take those mundane chores around the house and yard and put them to work for you. While you’re vacuuming, wear wrist and ankle weights. Use a push mower to trim your yard instead of using the riding lawnmower. Did you know that you can burn 300 to 500 calories by doing just an hour of gardening? That’s a pretty significant workout and you’ll have a fantastic looking yard, too. Double positive!

At Home Exercise Videos

You might scoff at trying to dance off the excess weight or putting the burn on your body while watching exercise videos at home. I’m telling you, they’re are making a big comeback. Sweatin’ to the Oldies with my boy Richard Simmons! Work it like Jane Fonda does! Or be like politician Paul Ryan and get your P90X on!  No matter what your level of physical fitness or what kind of exercise can keep your attention, you can probably find a good fit. From dance videos, to classic aerobics, to intense no-rest workouts, there is truly something for everyone.

Working out on a tight budget is possible. Get creative with your exercise routine. Think about setting up your own boot camp style obstacle course in your backyard. You just need to be driven to move. There is no shame in using canned green beans to build your guns. Thinking out of the box will keep your body and your wallet in good shape.
