Nurse Practitioner

Credentials

  • Board‐Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Hannah Bangura is a sixteen‐year nursing veteran who is originally from Sierra Leone, West Africa. As a youth growing up in a third world country, she witnessed the devastating effects of illnesses prevalent in her country at an early age. This exposure served as an inspiration for her to serve and to heal throughout her career as a nurse. After witnessing first hand the psychological effects the civil war had on the community in Sierra Leone, with minimal to no access to mental health care, Hannah was inspired to obtain her degree in psychiatric mental health so she can help her people. Additionally, this degree has enabled Hannah to provide psychiatric help to her patients in chronic pain management, given the comorbidity of psychiatric components associated with chronic pain.   Hannah’s experience spans from critical care, cardiovascular intensive care, pain management and now to psychiatric mental health.

As a nurse practitioner with over sixteen years nursing experience, Hannah’s goal is to develop an individualized treatment plan that will support her patients in achieving the highest level of functioning possible and able to enjoy life within their limitations. She is committed to continuing her education as well as sharing her knowledge with her patients to better assist them in making the best decisions on their quest for a pain‐free life. She is devoted to helping her patients utilize multidisciplinary modalities in managing their pain by providing a comprehensive individualized plan of care while employing compassion dignity and respect for each patient.

Education

Hannah Bangura is board-certified as acute care nurse practitioner and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the state of Arizona.
