This is a procedure that is done that helps the doctors find out which disc is causing the pain in the spine. While many doctors use procedures like CTscans and MRIs discography is still used today for since it can give a better accurate idea of what might be going on with the structure of the vertebra.

Your disc is a cushion between your vertebra. While is may be cushioned on the inside the outside is hard. When a discogram is done you are given a small type of local and an injection is put into the disc where an ink, or dye is inserted. This dye will show any leaks of the discs but it will also get soaked into your vertebra where they can see any chips or crack. You are then normally put into a CTScan where the dye shows up when there are minute cracks in the vertebra.

When this is done it can cause more back pain but that pain normally is lowered after a few hours since the dye is gone. This procedure is normally done before any disc fusion is done and after you have gone through the normal medication and physical therapy and nothing else has worked.

The season of sun. It is crucial you protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun, as well as keep it hydrated over the summer months. A sunblock of at least 50 SPF should be applied to your skin every time you are going to experience prolonged sun exposure (ie greater than 20 minutes), dr paul lubitz. It is even more important that you wear appropriate sunscreen and utilize sun protective clothing as much as possible if you live and play in geographical areas of increased UV risk.

“High-tech innovations are key to helping dental professionals achieve their targets for waste reduction and resource conservation,”notes the EDA. “In most cases, there is a 1:1 correlation between the eco-friendly and the high-tech choice.”

The new digital technologies are accurate and time efficient in addition to being green. One of those state-of- the-art innovations is the Steam Sterilization system, peter sbaraglia. The high-efficiency cleaning system eliminates toxic chemical sterilization vapors in the dental office environment, while also offering the use of reusable sterilization warps which are good for the environment.
